vSphere 8 EOL – Timeline (deutsch)

Subsequent updates focused on operational improvements, such as „Configuration Profiles“ and enhanced lifecycle management, culminating in Update 3 with optimizations for AI workloads. Using unsupported software carries significant risks. Security vulnerabilities remain unpatched, making systems more susceptible to attacks and there are no further technical updates or support available. This can result in data loss, system outages and potentially high costs due to cyberattacks or legal implications. Upgrading to VCF 9 is not only an investment in the future but also a safeguard against the risks posed by outdated software.
